Eric de Ridder, AAA, AIBC (Architect)
Eric de Ridder is the founding principal of Broadway Architects in Vancouver and Lee & de Ridder Architecture + Sustainable Design Inc. in Calgary. Eric has spent 20 years in Vancouver, BC and over 20 years in Calgary, Alberta providing professional services in architecture, as well as community and development planning – with specialties in sustainability, resort design and projects for indigenous people. He is a senior designer and is a coordinator of planning and technical teams. His experience in project management and energy conservation brings additional expertise to the firm. Project types which he has undertaken include institutional and commercial facilities, community centres, market and private housing, subdivision planning and design, multi-family housing, and resort development projects throughout Western and Northern Canada. He has undertaken many building envelope remediation projects. Eric’s activity in several business and community organizations has earned him the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Award for exemplary public service.
