Tang G Lee, AAA, MRAIC (Architect)
Tang Lee is known for his experience and knowledge of the building industry and is frequently retained as an expert witness in construction litigation and interpretation of the building code. He is a licensed architect and planner designing holistic, healthy, and sustainable communities and buildings.
Tang Lee is a PhD Supervisor and Professor Emeritus of Architecture at The University of Calgary teaching professional practice, building science, indoor air quality, as well as courses in mechanical and civil engineering. Tang has also taught at other universities in Canada, US, Europe, and Asia.
He serves on several committees of Health Canada, National Research Council of Canada, Canadian Standards Association, Alberta Safety Codes Council, and Alberta Barrier-Free Council. He has been appointed to the National Building Code of Canada and chairs several committees for the purpose of updating the 2015 and the 2020 NBC which are now completed.
He also helped author the chapter on Risk Management and Professional Liability, for the 2020 edition of the Canadian Handbook of Practice for Architects published by the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, p. 349-389.
